  • Parcel Weight Calculation Rules

    According to IATA (International Air Transport Association) metric standards, parcel weight is calculated in two ways:

    Actual weight – The weight of the packaged parcel as shown on the scale.
    Volumetric weight – The weight calculated based on the parcel’s dimensions (width, length, height).

    The higher value determines the shipping cost!

    Special Conditions:
    If any dimension of the parcel is 60 cm or more, both actual and volumetric weight are calculated, and the shipping fee is based on the greater value.

    Volumetric weight calculation formula:
    Width (cm) × Length (cm) × Height (cm) ÷ 6000 = Volumetric weight (kg)

    Final charges are calculated based on the USD/AZN exchange rate.

  • Delivery Fee Payment Methods:

    Customers can pay the delivery fee for their packages on the Glob.az website using the following methods:

    1. Online payment (via the website).

    2. Cash payment at the office.

    3. Payment via POS terminal at the office.

    Important Note:
    Customers who choose to pick up their package from a pick-up point must pay the delivery fee online only. In this case, payment through the website is mandatory for receiving the package. Cash or POS terminal payments at the office are not applicable for this option.

    Please note: When choosing a payment method, consider the type of delivery (pick-up point or address delivery)!

  • Prohibited products
    • The list of products prohibited from transportation in Azerbaijan is as follows:

      1. Restrictions related to physical characteristics and packaging conditions:

    • Magnetic products.
    • Food products
      (Transportation is prohibited if the packaging is not properly done.)
    • Chandeliers and frames
      (Transportation is prohibited if the packaging is not properly done.)

     

    This list covers products whose transportation in Azerbaijan is prohibited under certain conditions.

    10. Country-specific products:

    Lithium batteries and battery-equipped devices from Turkey. Works of art and various documents from Turkey.

    9. Restrictions related to transportation and import:

    Items prohibited from being transported by air. Items prohibited from being imported into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

    8. Products of technical and energy resource significance:

    Batteries. Hoverboards (electric scooters).

    7. Valuable items:

    Jewelry, precious metals, and precious stones. Banknotes and coins.

    6. Living organisms and plant-origin products:

    Live animals. Plants and seeds.

    5. Prohibitions for the protection of moral and public order:

    Pornographic materials, as well as materials that promote and advertise immorality, violence, and terrorism.

    4. Items related to confidentiality and security:

    Hidden cameras, special confidential communication devices, their codes, and literature on their operation. Information systems, documents, and archives related to the operational investigative activities of the Ministries of Defense, National Security, and Internal Affairs. State-important documents, inventions, and projects.

    3. Narcotic, psychotropic, and related materials:

    Narcotic and psychotropic substances, equipment for their use, as well as materials related to their manufacturing technology.

    2. Military and hazardous items:

    All types of weapons, combat ammunition, military equipment, explosive materials, and military technology. Explosive, pyrotechnic, and other dangerous materials, radioactive substances, and materials related to their manufacturing technology.

  • What is 300 USD limit?

    Customs Rules for Packages

    Import Limit:
    Each month, individuals can import goods worth up to $300 USD. This amount includes both the value of the goods and the shipping cost.

    Customs Duty:
    If the total value of the package exceeds $300 USD, customs duty will be applied only to the excess amount.
           For example, if your package costs $350 USD, the duty will be calculated only on $50 USD ($350 - $300).

    Storage Fee (at BCT):

    • First day: 15 AZN
    • Each additional day: 2 AZN (approximately 1 EUR)

  • What is "Tracking"?
    • After the package is fully packaged in online shop, it will be given to domestic couriers for delivery to the customer. The courier service in turn will provide a tracking number for the package.
    • Tracking number makes it possible to track the package from the courier’s warehouse to its destination.
    • Tracking number is different for every package and it's not duplicated.
    • You can track your package location until its delivery to the courier company’s warehouse on the domestic courier’s website.

    Turkey Warehouse:

    • Monday – Friday: 9:00 – 18:00
    • Saturday: 9:00 – 17:00

    America Warehouse:

    • Monday – Friday: 9:00 – 18:00
    • Saturday and Sunday: Closed
  • What is a declaration? How is it filled?

    The declaration is to notify about the parcel ordered by the customer in “DECLARE” section in the personal account “Glob.az” prior to the shipment enters the foreign warehouse.

    Order information must be recorded before the parcel is delivered to the foreign warehouses. Declaration of cargo is possible only after the parcel is delivered to the courier by the seller and the tracking number is provided.

    The declaration shall indicate the tracking number, store name, product category and the invoice document provided by the seller shall be attached.

    Every parcel delivered to the airport of Azerbaijan is required to undergo customs inspection.

    In order to avoid delays, the customer must log in to his/her personal account and declare the information about the order in advance.

    Exceptions:

    In rare cases, Sellers send a customer package without specifying a tracking number. In this case, the declaration must be completed only after the parcel enters the warehouse.

    Accuracy and correctness of the data is a prerequisite for timely delivery of the package.

  • How many days will it take to deliver my order?

    Parcel Transportation Rules

    • Regular Goods

      • From Turkey – shipped three times a week.
      • From the USA – shipped weekly.
    • Dangerous Goods (batteries, perfume, flammable substances, etc.)

      • From Turkey – shipped twice a month.
      • From the USA – shipped weekly.

    Once the parcels arrive at our overseas warehouse and are declared in Smart Customs by you, they will be shipped to Azerbaijan on the next available flight. Depending on the completion of customs clearance, parcels will be ready for delivery within 3 business days.

  • How does it work ?

    Glob.az - Convenient and Fast Delivery Service

    1. Register

    Sign up on the Glob.az platform and get a foreign address in Turkey and the USA. Once registered, your personal address will be automatically added to your account.

    2. Send Your Order to the Provided Address

    When shopping online, enter the address provided by Glob.az in the delivery section. After completing the payment, your order will be sent to our warehouse.

    3. Package Registration and Tracking

    • Packages delivered to the Turkey warehouse are registered within 24 hours and appear on the Glob.az website and mobile app.
    • Packages received at the USA warehouse are registered within 24-48 hours.

    4. What to Do If Your Package Is Not Registered?

    If your package does not appear in the system:

    • For the Turkey warehouse – wait 24 hours,
    • For the USA warehouse – wait 48 hours,
      then submit a support request through the platform.

  • What you must know when shopping online
    • When shopping online, the "Shipping Address" section must be filled in according to the address provided in your Glob.az account. Instead of your name, write "GLB", and add your customer code in the address section.
    • The carrier company is not a manufacturer or seller and only provides delivery services.
    • The carrier company is not responsible for manufacturing defects, the quality, completeness, composition, size, or shape of the product, or if the product is out of stock or the order is canceled by the seller.
    • It is also not responsible for the time it takes for the product to be delivered to the seller's warehouse.
    • The choice of courier service by the seller and any issues arising during delivery are not the responsibility of the carrier company.
  • Glob.az "Order Now" Service

    Some international online stores do not accept foreign cards or ship products abroad. Glob.az solves this issue by offering the "Order Now" service, currently available for orders from Turkey and the USA.

    How to place an order?

    1. Log in to your Glob.az account and go to the "Order Now" section.
    2. Paste the product link into the "Product URL" field and enter the necessary details.
    3. Specify the price in the corresponding currency (TL or USD).
    4. Indicate whether local shipping (cargo) is paid or free.
    5. To add another item, click the (+) button.
    6. Agree to the terms and conditions, then click "Order Now" and complete the payment.
    7. After payment, the order will receive the "Paid" status and will be confirmed shortly.
    8. Once the purchase is complete, you will receive a notification via email.

    Commission & Terms

    5% commission applies for orders from Turkey and the USA.
    10% commission applies for stores accepting US cards.
    We are not responsible for the reliability of online stores.
    Payments are made in foreign currency, and bank fees are the customer's responsibility.
    The seller is responsible for product quality, completeness, and availability.
    The 5% commission is non-refundable in case of order cancellation.
    Refunds to a card may take up to 15 business days.

    You will receive your parcels within 24 hours. Courier fee when ordering will be reflected in your account. You can pay for the parcel shipping and courier payment online or in cash.

    How to Authorize Another Person to Collect Your Package?

    1. Log in to Your Account

    • Go to our website.
    • Log in to your personal account.

    2. Open the "Authorizations" Section

    • Find and open the "Authorizations" section in your account.

    3. Enter the Recipient’s Information

    • Provide the ID details of the person who will collect your package.

    4. Confirm the Authorization

    • Review the entered details and confirm the authorization.

    5. Package Collection Process

    • The authorized person must visit our office.
    • They need to present your customer code and their ID to collect the package.

    6. No Limit on Authorizations

    • You can add as many authorized persons as needed.

    By following these steps, you can easily allow someone else to collect your package on your behalf.

  • What Are the "Shipping" and "Order" Balances For?

    The "Shipping" and "Order" balances are intended for different services:

    • Order Balance – If you want to place an order, you need to top up this balance. It is used for the service that orders the product for you.
    • Shipping Balance – This balance is used to pay for the shipping (cargo) fee of your order.

    Since both balances serve different purposes, you need to top up the appropriate balance for ordering and shipping.

  • Parcels may be held by customs in the following cases:

    Packages may be held by customs in the following cases:

    1. If the personal use limit ($300) is exceeded for commercial purposes – If an individual exceeds the established personal use limit and repeatedly orders the same product, customs authorities may investigate whether it is intended for commercial purposes.

    2. If the package is intended for commercial use – If the quantity or type of goods indicates commercial importation, they may be subject to the relevant customs procedures.

    3. If there is suspicion that the item's value has been understated on the invoice – In some cases, the actual value of the ordered product may not match the declared value in the shipping documents. Customs authorities may hold the package for further investigation.

    4. If a license or certificate is required for importing the item – Certain products, such as pharmaceuticals, specific electronic devices, weapons, and other regulated goods, may require special permits. If these permits or certificates are not provided, the package may be held by customs.

    5. If the item is prohibited for import into the country – According to customs regulations, some goods are prohibited from being imported (e.g., narcotics, hazardous chemicals, certain types of weapons, etc.). If the ordered item falls into this category, it will be detained and possibly confiscated.

    6. In other cases stipulated by legislation – Other circumstances outlined in the Customs Code and regulatory acts may also result in the package being held.

    If your package has been held by customs, it is recommended to contact the customs authorities to determine the reason and provide the necessary documents.
